Free Periodicals and Guides Can Keep You Informed


     Tech News tries to stay abreast of relevant publications in the field, particularly those that are provided free -- as Tech News is -- to qualified subscribers, including directors and staff of nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and government agencies.

Following are a few that may be of interest.
New York Software Newspaper is a monthly tabloid for software professionals and organizations. Subjects include consulting, training, professional societies and associations, public policy and legal issues, New York State laws and regulations including taxation and tax incentives. The paper recently created a section, New York Interactive: Serving the New York Interactive Community. New York Metro ComputerUser is distributed monthly on the streets and by free subscription to business computer users in the New York City area. Coverage includes a calendar of local computer-related events, including professional societies, associations and usergroups in the area.
